A bard and demon hunter wrapped in one, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang marksman Granger wanders the Land of Dawn with a violin that is as deadly as it is musical.

Orphaned during the war, he was taken in by the Imperial Army where he honed his unique skills to become one of the deadliest heroes in the game.

The Death Chanter’s primary strength is high burst damage potential and reliable scaling. He does not rely on mana but reloads bullets instead, giving him an edge in both quick and prolonged fights.

Granger’s skills in Mobile Legends

Passive – Capriccio

Granger’s unique Demon Hunting Gun and Cannon are powered by Demonic Energy. Both his weapons have a staring Energy cap. His Gun restores a certain percentage of Energy per second while his Cannon restores a lower percentage of Energy per second. Each minion or creep kill will permanently increase the Energy cap of Granger’s Gun and Cannon, and instantly restore their Energy, respectively. Every kill or assist on an enemy hero will permanently increase their Energy cap and instantly restore Energy.

Every percentage of CD Reduction Granger gains is converted int Physical Attack. Demonic Energy Cost is not affected by Energy Cost Reductions.

• Prioritize farming minions and creeps early to permanently boost Granger’s Demonic Energy cap, increasing his potential for sustained attacks in the late game.
• This passive makes Granger more powerful the more he farms, so constant takedowns are essential to scale up his damage output.
• In team fights, try to get at least an assist on kills. Each takedown not only benefits the team but also increases your Demonic Energy for extended engagements.

First Skill – Rhapsody

Granger rapidly fires several shots with his Gun, with each shot dealing Physical Damage and consuming Gun Energy. The last bullet is guaranteed to Crit. Each bullet deals an additional damage to creeps and minions. While firing, Granger’s Movement Speed is increased. Granger stops firing when he runs out Energy, or when the skill is cast again. Rhapsody has a brief cooldown and can be cast once his Gun Energy is over a certain number.

• Use this skill continuously as it provides sustained damage and has a low cooldown. However, keep an eye on your Demonic Energy level to ensure you don’t run out mid-attack.
• The final bullet will always crit, making it crucial for finishing off low-health enemies.
• During the laning phase, frequently use Rhapsody to poke enemies, but when your Demonic Energy is low, replenish it with your second Skill, Rondo, and resume attacking. The crit on the last bullet is a good way to harass enemy heroes at a distance without committing fully.
• Combine with Rondo to reposition yourself and maintain pressure. If Rhapsody is missing its target, stop the skill or use your Ultimate to save energy.

Second Skill – Rondo

Granger uses his Demon Hunter agility to dash in the target direction, instantly restoring Energy for his Gun. Rondo can be cast while channeling Rhapsody. Each time Rhapsody hits an enemy, Rondo’s Cooldown is reduced.

• Use Rondo as a repositioning tool to dodge enemy skill shots and to refill Demonic Energy.
• This dash allows you to stay mobile and adjust your positioning, making it harder for enemies to land their attacks.
• Use Rondo alongside Rhapsody to consistently reposition and make your attacks harder to dodge.

Ultimate – Death Sonata

Granger fires his Cannon in the target direction, dealing Physical Damage to the first enemy hero hit and other targets in the blast radius. Targets hit will be slowed and revealed for a brief duration. Granger can roll in the Joystick’s direction after each shot. Death Sonata can be cast while firing Rhapsody. Death Sonata has a brief cooldown and consumes Granger’s Cannon Energy per shot.

• This is a skill shot, so it will take time to master. It is better to cast it manually so that you get a better sense of its range and damage effects.
• With its short cooldown, Granger’s Ultimate can now be used multiple times in a fight, consuming Demonic Energy instead of requiring a full charge.
• The skill is best used from a distance to deal AoE damage and slow down enemies, keeping you safe while dishing out high damage.

Recommended battle spell

When playing as a gold laner, Flicker is the best battle spell option. It will allow you to be in a better position to land Rhapsody and Death Sonata, and can be used as an escape tool when enemies try to approach you.

If you are playing as a jungler for your squad, Retribution is the obvious choice.

In Granger’s case, the Ice Retribution is the best blessing. This allows you to steal movement speed from your target depending on your level for several seconds, making you agile while slowing them down.

This means that you will have an easier time landing your skill shots as you’ll be more mobile than the enemy hero inflicted with the spell.

Recommended emblem

Use Assassin Emblem to improve Granger’s kill potential. It gives you additional Adaptive Penetration, Adaptive Attack, and Movement Speed. Combine this with Agility, Tenacity and Impure Rage as your talents.

Agility gives you additional Movement Speed to help you reposition offensively or defensively, while Tenacity improves your survivability by increasing your Physical and Magic Defense when your HP reaches a certain threshold.

Lastly, Impure Rage complements your skill set flawlessly. It inflicts bonus Adaptive Damage based on a percentage of the target’s max HP and restores mana with each hit. Since Granger does not use mana, you gain a percent of your HP instead.

This means that each time you hit enemies with either Rhapsody or Death Sonata, you regain health.

After boots, prioritize getting Hunter Strike. More than the Physical Attack boost and Cooldown Reduction, the item’s passive, Retribution, synchronizes well with Rhapsody.

After hitting enemies with the skill, you will benefit tremendously from the Movement Speed bonus as you will have superior mobility against enemies.

Get Sky Piercer next. This improves your kill potential greatly thanks to its unique passive which executes enemies when their HP reaches a certain threshold. Build this when you are on the lead. Otherwise, go for Blade of Despair.

Blade of Despair is Granger’s core item, which offers a substantial boost to his Physical Attack, making his abilities hit even harder.

Rose Gold Meteor is a two-way item that you can consider purchasing, especially when facing heavy Magic Damage dealers in the enemy team. Offensively, it gives you Physical Attack and Lifesteal.

In the late game, Malefic Roar becomes invaluable for its high armor penetration, especially against tankier heroes and those with heavy Physical Defense.

As Granger, you can adopt an aggressive playstyle whether you’re in the Jungle or Gold Lane. His revamped abilities now rely on Demonic Energy, which you can increase by killing minions, creeps, or heroes. This passive allows you to sustain longer fights and become deadlier as your energy cap grows.

Your main damage comes from the first skill, Rhapsody, which fires rapidly, dealing bonus damage to minions and creeps and landing a crit on the final shot.

In lane, poke enemies with Rhapsody, keeping an eye on your energy level. When it’s low, use your second skill, Rondo, to dash and instantly replenish energy, maintaining your attack pressure. Rondo also helps you reposition, making you hard to pin down and allowing you to align shots with your target.
