All eyes are on ONIC Esports at the M5 World Championship.
For Filipino fans, it’s an opportunity to witness the return of Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol and Denver “Yeb” Miranda competing on home soil.
These two were once stars in the MPL PH scene, having made a significant impact for ONIC PH until their transfer to the organization’s MPL ID branch, ONIC Esports, in Season 10.
Representing Indonesia on the global stage, they braced themselves for a subdued reception from Filipino fans. However, their expectations were shattered during one of the team’s meet-and-greet sessions.

Kairi and Yeb were touched by Filipino fans’ hospitality even though they are representing another region
Following their match against Bigetron Sons, hundreds of fans flocked to ONIC Esports’ meet-and-greet session, eager for a photo opportunity with the team.
The Filipino imports, who continued to be surrounded even after the session, had fans approaching them just to say hi and express their unwavering support.
In the press conference immediately following the session, they said that they were surprised by the warm welcome.
“I was happy because they welcomed us with open arms,” shared Kairi. “I didn’t expect that reception because we are playing for another country and yet the fans still support us.”
Yeb echoed a similar sentiment, noting that this meet-and-greet session was the loudest they had ever experienced.
