If you were to ask pro players which marksman hero had the most impact at the M5 World Championship, almost everyone would probably say it’s Bruno, the Protector.
The hero is the most picked marksman hero in the group stage, and holds a 50% win rate in the first five days of the tournament.

3 reasons why Bruno is the best marksman right now at the M5 World Championship, according to Markyyyy
Double Volley Shot technique is too overpowered
According to the 24-year-old gold laner, the hero’s first skill, Volley Shot, is one of the strongest abilities among gold lane heroes.
“When you use your first skill and then use it again, you can have Double Volley Shots, which makes him insanely strong,” he shared with ONE Esports.
His first skill not only grants enhanced basic attacks but also slows down enemies with each hit. Experienced players often use the double Volley Shot technique to amplify the skill’s damage even further.
To execute this, wait for Volley Shot to come off cooldown, then cast it again while your initial Powerball is still in the air.
His passive, Mecha Legs, makes him a beast in extended team fights
With assassin heroes like Nolan and Lancelot back in the meta, burst damage marksman heroes such as Bruno have returned to many gold laners’ hero rotation.

What makes him one of the best burst damage heroes is his passive, Mecha Legs, which increases his crit chance each time he deals damage with his skills, up to a certain number of stacks.
“If Bruno lands a critical shot, it almost always bursts down a squishy hero to half health,” he added. “He is that strong.”
Bruno with Haas’ Claws is extremely difficult to kill in team fights
One of the most important items for Bruno is Haas’ Claw. This item provides him with increased physical attack, attack speed, and crit chance.
However, the real highlight of this item is its unique attribute of 25% lifesteal and passive which increases his attack speed with each critical hit.
According to Markyyyy, this item is a must for Bruno and must be prioritized.
“Haas’ Claw is too strong to pass up,” he said. “This item is all you need to deal massive amounts of damage in a game.”
