The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational 2023 (MPLI 2023) is about to kick off, and Moonton Games has just unveiled patch 1.8.30 to make things more exciting.
This update stands out for its extensive hero adjustments, making it one of the most significant patches of the year. Notably, the marksman hero Moskov has undergone a substantial revamp.

Beyond hero changes, patch 1.8.30 introduces substantial alterations to the battlefield.
The Retribution battle spell and critical in-game elements like the Lord and Turtle have been given major overhauls.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of what you can expect from this new patch.
Marksman hero Moskov is getting a revamp in Mobile Legends patch 1.8.30
Attributes
- Physical attack growth decreased from 15.5 to 12.5
- Base HP decreased from 2455 to 2255
Passive – Spear of Quienscence
- Skill 1 and 2 cooldown reduction for every basic attack decreased from 0.8s to 0.5s
- Slightly reduced the foreswing time of his basic attack for a smoother control experience
Skill 1 – Abyss Walker
- Attack speed boost decreased from 1.15-1.5x to 1.15-1.35x
Ultimate – Spear of Destruction
- When the ultimate hits a hero, it creates a shadow behind them and refreshes the cooldown of Abyss Walker. You can use the ultimate again to cast Abyss Walker from the Shadow’s location.
- Longest slow duration decreased from 5s to 3s
- Base damage decreased from 600-800 to 340-500
- Penetrate damage is now down to 1.1x base damage

Mobile Legends Patch 1.8.30 hero changes
Masha
Attributes
- Basic attack speed decreased from 1.05 to 0.96
- Attack speed growth per level increased from 1% to 3.5%
- Base hybrid defense increased from 10 to 15
Passive – Ancient Strength
- Removed effect: Attack speed increases with HP loss
- New effect: She can’t gain defense from equipment or emblems. Every 1 defense she gains is converted to 0.25 physical attack
- When losing the first HP bar, she now gains base hybrid defense instead of lifesteal
- When losing the second HP bar, she now gains hybrid defense, healing received, and full control immunity instead of lifesteal and resilience
- Adjusted how Masha recovers HP at the fountain
Skill 1 – Wild Power
- Changed to a one-time cast
- Revamped effect: Masha consumes 25% of an HP bar to cast it, gaining attack speed and movement speed and enhancing her basic attack for 4s
- Her enhanced basic attack deals extra damage based on the target’s Max HP and restores her HP
- Continuously hitting heroes or creeps reduces the cooldown of her 1st skill
Skill 2 – Howl Shock
- Removed disarm effect
- Now costs 10% of an HP bar
- The projectiles now hit all enemies in the target area and can no longer be blocked by enemy heroes
Ultimate – Thunderclap
- Control immunity and damage reduction after charging now removed
- Slightly knocks back enemies around the target and disarms and slows them for 2s
- 40% of HP bar required to cast
- Damage adjusted from the percentage of Masha’s extra max HP to the percentage of the target’s current HP
Argus
Passive – Warmonger
- HP regen adjusted from 65+40% total physical attack to 200+10% total physical attack
- Extra physical damage increased from 155+100% total physical attack to 200+100% total physical attack
- New effect: Extra attack ignored 40% of the target’s physical defense
- The skill recharge logic of the Malice Energy has been adjusted from recharging based on the damage dealt, to recharging every second and on every basic attack (critical hit grants extra recharge)
Skill 1 – Demonic Grip
- Slightly reduced the charge distance when using the skill again
- Increased the charge speed when using the skill again
Skill 2 – Meteoric Sword
- Base damage increased from 300-400+40% total physical attack to 300-400+100% total physical attack
- New effect: The skill damage now counts as basic attack damage and can trigger attack effect
- The skill’s attack interval now shortens as the attack speed increases
- Argus’ basic attack against a cursed target will grant double Malice Energy charging speed
- Curse no longer deals damage
Ultimate – Eternal Evil
- New effect: Arlott passively increases the charging speed of the Malice Energy
- Removed effect: Argus permanently gains 10-30 physical attack
Joy
Skill 2 – Meow, Rhythm of Joy
- Removed effect: Immune to control effects during Beat Time!
- Cooldown decreased from 12-9s to 8s at all levels
Ultimate – Ha, Electrifying Beats!
- Her ultimate now unlocks after she casts her skill 2 on beat once, but her ultimate damage still scales with the number of skill 2 casts per beat
- New effect: Her ultimate with four Rhythms on beat makes her immune to control effects during the ultimate
- Cooldown decreased from 40-24s to 24s at all levels
- Damage decreased from 150-270+55% total magic power to 135-235+50% total magic power
- 15% less damage each multiple hits on the target, down to 40%
Roger
Passive – Full Moon Curse
- In human form, Roger’s attacks and skills deal additional damage equal to % of the target’s current HP
- In wolf form, Roger’s basic attacks and skills deal additional damage equal to 5% of the target’s lost HP
- This effect can only deal to 60 additional damage to creeps
Skill 2 – Hunter’s Steps
- Revamped effect: Gains movement speed and attack speed by 20%-40%
Skill 1 – Open Fire/ Lycan Pounce
- Base damage decreased from 300-600 to 250-500
- Total physical attack bonus decreased from 150% to 125%
Khaleed
Skill 1 – Desert Tornado
- The skill will now cast three times with or without hitting a target
- Slightly increased the dash speed
- Base damage increased from 180-480+125% physical attack to 200-525+140% physical attack
- Damage on minions increased from 50% to 50%=75%
- Removed effect: 15% damage increase per hit
Skill 2 – Quicksand Guard
- Damage reduction decreased from 50%-70% to 35%-50%
Ultimate – Raging Sandstorm
- Slightly increased channeling speed
Alucard
Passive – Pursuit
- Removed effect: Deals increased damage when hitting only one hero
Skill 2 – Whirling Slash
- Base damage increased from 320-420 to 345-570
- Cooldown decreased from 5s at all levels to 6-4s
Ultimate – Fission Wave
- Hybrid lifesteal from ultimate upgrades increased from 5%-15% to 10%-30%

Laning changes
- Reduced the base EXP given by siege minions in the EXP lane while increasing their EXP growth
- The total amount of EXP gained from the first 10 siege minions in the EXP lane remains the same
- Slightly increased the EXP needed to go from level one to two and slightly reduced the EXP needed to go from level two to three.
Jungle changes
Retribution
- Damage taken from basic creeps is reduced by 40% (Lord and Turtle are not considered basic creeps)
Lord
- Fixed an issue where the true damage text is displayed when dealing physical damage
- Physical damage adjusted from 100% attack to 20% attack+10% target’s max HP
- The true damage of Thunder Strike adjusted from 150% attack to 50+15% target’s max HP
Turtle
- Base attack and attack growth are now adjusted to 80% of their former values.
Equipment changes
Lightning Truncheon
- Unique passive new effect: When triggering the damage, increase movement speed by 30% for 2s.
- Damage scaling changed from 35% mana minus 450 to 120% magic power
Flask of the Oasis
- Unique passive shield decreased from 600-1500 to 100-150
Blessing – Favor
- HP regeneration decreased from 300-750 to 240-600

Weakness Finder
- Revamped: Basic attacks slow enemies’ movement speed by 90% and attack speed by 50% for 0.5s.
- Cooldown: 10s
- Every basic attack reduces it by 1s, down to 3s

- Wilderness Blessing’s movement speed boost decreased from 15% to 10%
