The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia Season 14 playoffs (MPL ID Season 14 playoffs) are finally here, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.
After a fierce nine-week regular season, the top six Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams in Indonesia are set to collide in epic showdowns to be named the best team in the region and claim the grand prize of IDR1,000,000,000 (over USD$63,000).
More than the championship trophy and prize money, this season’s grand finalists also secure coveted spots in the M6 World Championship in Malaysia at the end of the year.
RRQ Hoshi, led by their star jungler Arthur “Sutsujin” Sunarkho, dominated much of the regular season. The “King of Kings” are looking to end their four-season title drought and are eager to return to international competition for the first time since M4.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid ID surged late in the regular season, grabbing the second seed. Their rise has been nothing short of remarkable, and are now aiming to continue their momentum into the MPL ID Season 14 playoffs.
Joining RRQ Hoshi and Team Liquid ID in the postseason are powerhouse team Bigetron Alpha, the four-time defending champions Fnatic ONIC, Geek Fam, and Alter Ego.
MPL ID Season 14 playoffs format
The MPL ID Season 14 playoffs follow a hybrid elimination format.
The third to sixth-seeded teams kick off the action in Round 1 with single-elimination matchups.
Meanwhile, the top two seeds enjoy a round bye, entering Round 2, which follows a double elimination format.
All matches leading up to the grand final are best-of-five (Bo5), while the grand final itself is a best-of-seven (Bo7) battle.
