The stakes are higher than ever, with not only the largest share of the US$100,000 prize pool at stake, but also coveted spots in the M6 World Championship, which returns to Malaysia for the second time since the M1 World Championship.
When does MPL MY Season 14 playoffs start?
After six weeks of intense action, six teams advance to compete for the title of the best team in Malaysia.
Reigning MPL MY and MSC champions Selangor Red Giants enter the MPL MY Season 14 playoffs as heavy favorites after dominating the regular season with a near-perfect 7-1 record.
Their only defeat came at the hands of Monster Vicious, who also secured their playoff spot by finishing fifth in the standings.
Team Vamos, who finished the regular season in second place, also promises to be a fierce contender. Composed of former HomeBois players, they have shown flashes of brilliance and are now set on reclaiming the MPL crown they last held in Season 12.
Another team to watch is JP Niners, who finished third in the standings with an impressive 6-3 win-loss record. They aim to reshape the status quo and build on their strong regular season performance.
Meanwhile, Todak, led by Muhammad “CikuGais” Fuad, Idreen “Momo” Jamal, and Muhammad Syafizan Najmi “Garyy” Kamarulzaman, look to reassert their dominance in Malaysia. Despite finishing with a 5-4 record in the regular season, they still pose a threat in the competition.
MPL MY Season 14 playoffs kicks off on October 31, 2024 and runs until November 3, 2024, at the Indoor Arena, EduCity Sports Complex in Johor.

The playoffs follows a hybrid elimination format, with the top two seeds starting in the upper bracket and the other four teams going through the play-in stage.
The play-in stage starts on October 31 with Todak facing Monster Vicious, and JP Niners taking on RED Esports MY.
The winners of the play-in stage advance to the upper bracket semifinals on November 1 where they face top seeds Selangor Red Giants and Team Vamos.
The two losing teams face in the lower semifinal, while the two winning teams advance to the upper bracket finals on November 2. Consequently, the losing team of the upper bracket final and the winner of the lower bracket semifinal meet at the lower bracket final.
The upper bracket final winning team faces the lower bracket final winner in the grand finals on November 3.
All matches are to be played in a best-of-five format, except for the grand final, which will be a best-of-seven showdown, determining the overall champion.
