Alpha’s skills in Mobile Legends
Passive – Beta, Advance!
When Alpha uses a skill, Beta will be summoned to attack. Enemies that are hit by Beta two times will be Locked On.
Locked On: After Alpha deals damage to the target, Beta will fire a laser at them, dealing true damage and briefly applying a powerful slow.
- Locked On effect only works on enemy heroes and jungle creeps.
- Enemies and creeps affected by this passive will have a mark above their health bars. The mark lasts for several seconds and resets when Beta hits them after using a skill.
- Whenever you trigger Locked On, hit the enemy with basic attacks for Beta to repeatedly shoot your target, and use your skills after cooldown to reset the mark duration.
First skill – Rotary Impact
Alpha unleashes an energy wave in the target direction, dealing physical damage to enemies in its path and slowing them. Beta then strafes enemies along the same path, dealing true damage.
- Get Rotary Impact at level one because it has a lower cooldown compared to his second skill, Force Swing, and therefore can trigger the passive. Use this to harass your lane opponent in the first few seconds of the game.
- For better accuracy, manually target this skill.
Second skill – Force Swing
After a short delay, Alpha swings his blade in the target direction, dealing physical damage to enemies in a fan-shaped area and recovering HP for each enemy hit.
Beta then strafes enemies in the same area, dealing true damage.
- Force Swing is Alpha’s bread-and-butter skill. So, max this out first.
- You can move while using this skill.
- You can also use Flicker while casting Force Swing, giving you the option to make a surprise attack.
Ultimate – Spear of Alpha
Beta dives in the target direction, dealing physical damage to enemies hit and stunning them for a second. Alpha then leaps towards the same location, knocking enemies in his path airborne and carrying them to the landing location. He then slams down, dealing physical damage and slowing enemies for a few seconds.
Beta then attacks the same area several times, dealing true damage each time.
- Initiate your attack with the ultimate. It has multiple crowd control effects, allowing you to hit your target with Force Swing and Rotary Impact.
- As much as possible, cast this skill manually, so you can maximize its range.
- You can use this to drag enemies near your allies or turret.
- You can combo this with Flicker to extend its cast range. To do this, cast the skill first towards your intended direction, then quickly tap on Flicker.
A comprehensive guide on how to play Alpha in Mobile Legends
Recommended battle spell
When it comes to battle spells, the strategic choice for Alpha depends on your role and playstyle.
For side laners, Vengeance emerges as the ideal option. Given the tendency of being in the middle of fights, the battle spell will ensure you have more sustainability while also being able to deal damage.
Alternatively, if you’re assuming the role of a jungler, Retribution is the go-to spell.
It can help you quickly farm jungle monsters, and secure important objectives such as the Lord and Turtle.
Recommended emblem
Whether you’re playing as a side laner or jungler, it’s best to equip the Fighter emblem because it gives spell vamp, adaptive attack, and hybrid defense stats, which improves your damage output and survivability in team fights.
In terms of talents, choose Agility in the first tier to gain additional Movement Speed and Seasoned Hunter in the second tier to increase your damage against Turtle and Lord.
When it comes to your key talent, the most favorable choice is Impure Rage. Each time you deal damage with skills, you deal extra damage equal to a certain percentage of your target’s Max HP while also restoring mana.
This means that when you land Spear of Alpha, Rotary Impact, and Force Swing, you can easily tear apart the enemy while also regaining mana to use skills for extended fights.
Alternatively, Killing Spree is also a viable option especially if you’re a jungler. It provides not only HP restoration but also gives movement speed boost when you eliminate an enemy hero.
Alpha best build
To fully unleash Alpha’s potential, prioritize items that offer cooldown reduction. After buying Tough or Warrior Boots depending on the other team’s draft, purchase War Axe and Queen’s Wings.
Complete your build with defensive items. Brute Force Breastplate is an excellent choice, as it mitigates both physical and magic damage while providing cooldown reduction.
For more Physical Defense, consider acquiring Oracle. Outside of the armor, it also gives additional Cooldown Reduction, and boosts regeneration effects which syncs well with your skills.
For your final item, consider getting Hunter Strike. This offensive item gives you a boost in Physical Damage, more Cooldown Reduction, and a passive effect that improves your Movement Speed when you are locked onto a specific target.
The best build for Alpha in Mobile Legends
- Tough Boots (Ice Retribution if you’re a jungler)
- War Axe
- Queen’s Wings
- Brute Force Breastplate
- Oracle
- Hunter Strike
Easy combos to learn
In the early game, your primary goal is to secure farm and reach level four to unlock your ultimate, Spear of Alpha.
When laning, use these your first and second skill strategically to poke enemies while maintaining your health. Focus on last-hitting minions to build gold and avoid overextending, as you lack reliable escape mechanisms early on.
Once you hit mid game, you become more impactful in fights. Your ultimate is a game-changer. Use it to initiate fights or lock down priority targets, particularly low-armor backliners. Follow up with Rotary Impact and Force Swing, ensuring you time the latter to hit as many enemies as possible for maximum healing and damage.
Alpha thrives in prolonged battles, so aim to stay in the fight, utilizing his sustain and the bonus damage from his passive, Beta, Advanced!. Always remain vigilant about positioning, as you can struggle against heavy crowd control or kiting.
In the late game, transition into a durable front-liner and consistent damage dealer. Stick with your team and focus on initiating or countering enemy engages. In team fights, prioritize landing Force Swing on multiple enemies to heal and sustain through extended encounters.
Use Spear of Alpha to disrupt enemy formations and eliminate high-value targets like marksmen or mages. A well-timed ultimate can turn the tide of battle, so be patient and wait for the right opportunity to engage.
