It’s only halfway through 2023, but Moonton has already provided a glimpse into what may be the most significant and game-changing set of updates for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang this year.
This year’s Project NEXT will have a number of notable changes, such as a complete revamp of the emblem system, a new home interface, and the introduction of a new rank.
This is the biggest update since the Rise of the Necrokeep update last year, which revamped three heroes — Vexana, Faramis, and Leomord.
Project NEXT is an ongoing initiative launched by Moonton in 2020 to improve outdated heroes and features in the game.

This year’s Project NEXT will bring forth quality-of-life changes in Mobile Legends, according to Moonton
A revamped emblem system will be implemented on June 27, according to Moonton. The system has been reintroduced with improvements based on player feedback after it was postponed last year.
Following that, on July 1, there will be enhancements to the lore of Eruditio. The main interface will also be transformed into an Eruditio theme, although its release is scheduled for a later date in September.
Accompanying the release of the lore is the introduction of Ixia, a new marksman hero, who will be available on July 8, shortly after the conclusion of the ranked season.
While there is no official confirmation regarding the implementation of the new rank, Mythical Immortal, for the next season, the teaser video of the patch on YouTube suggests that it will be included in the initial release this month.
Lastly, in September, five unnamed heroes will undergo a character model makeover.
