There were a lot of memorable moments in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines Season 9 (MPL PH Season 9) playoffs, but two in particular made the event even more memorable for those who were at the venue.
RSG PH head coach Brian “RSG Panda” Lim and TNC player Ben “Benthings” Maglaque proposed to their respective girlfriends on the MPL PH stage at the SMX Convention right after their crucial games this weekend.

RSG Panda and TNC Benthings’ surprise announcement during the MPL PH Season 9 playoffs
Although TNC failed to reach the grand final of the tournament after losing to Smart Omega in the lower bracket final, that didn’t stop Benthings from calling his longtime girlfriend, Dayen Bello, to the stage to pop the question in front of the live audience.
“You are my trophy. I have a question for you. Do you want to be with me until we grow old? ” said the Season 9 MVP candidate while kneeling and waiting for his girlfriend’s answer.
Dayen immediately said yes, prompting Benthings to put the ring around her finger while the crowd goes wild.
The second proposal happened right after RSG PH won the grand final. Once the team has lifted their trophy, RSG Panda immediately went in front to ask his girlfriend, Jennifer Rigue, to come over to the stage.
“Benthings did it first, but this is my own version. Thank you for always being my inspiration for three years. I love you so much.” the two-time champion coach said before getting down on one knee. Without hesitation, Rigue took the mic from RSG Panda and had a very emotional response. “How could I say no? You are Coach Panda, the best coach. So it’s a yes,” she exclaimed.
