HomeBois opened the series with a win, but the Red Giants secured the next two victories, bolstered by their Filipino gold laner import John “Innocent” Banal.
In the fourth game, HomeBois mounted a comeback with a dominating 20-4 victory. Muhammad Nazhan “Chibi” Mohd Nor’s Roger earned MVP honors with a near-perfect 8/1/9 KDA.
In the fifth game, the Selangor Red Giants opted for a tanky lineup featuring Fredrinn and Grock against HomeBois’ two-marksman lineup of Roger and Bruno. This strategy proved successful as the Red Giants ended the game in just under 11 minutes.
Facing elimination, the defending champions HomeBois chose a bulkier lineup with Fredrinn and Minotaur in the sixth game.
The Red Giants countered with a cheese X.Borg pick, a hero known for its true damage capabilities, ideal against bulky heroes.
The game started slowly, with only four deaths in the first 10 minutes. The momentum shifted when the Selangor Red Giants secured a wipeout at the 11-minute mark.
HomeBois attempted a comeback, but another wipeout at the 20-minute mark sealed the victory for the Selangor Red Giants.
With this win, the Selangor Red Giants advance to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup 2024 (MSC 2024) in Riyadh, starting on June 28.
