Four players of Team OP have been banned from competing in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Singapore Season 3 (MPL SG Season 3) and other MLBB official tournaments for at least a year after “inciting religious discourse” during a ranked game, which was livestreamed.
Moonton’s announcement comes a day after the developer announced an investigation into the matter.

Four players, Goh “Ryeb” Wei En, Wendell Sean “DarA” Tan, Jackie “PAAA” Lee, and Randall “Bush” Tay Guan Pin were banned from competing in any official MLBB tournaments for at least a year.
Three of them were banned for two years, while Bush received a one year ban for “inciting harassment”.
Team OP was also given a -10 point deduction at the start of MPL SG Season 3 for “mismanagement of players”.

Moonton asks its loyal community to be responsible online
The decision comes after the four players were caught in a back-and-forth chat exchange in a ranked game with members of Geek Fam MY. The banter turned sour after some members of Team OP made derogatory remarks related to religion, which were captured on Geek Fam MY’s Nik “Dominus” Aqieff’s livestream.
Despite the severity of their violations, Moonton asked the community not to attack or doxx the players.
“We seek your understanding in this matter and would like to sincerely apologize for our shortcomings,” they wrote. “We will strive to do better in improving our processes going forward and eliminating such behaviors in our professional leagues.”
