Wanwan’s skills in Mobile Legends

Passive Tiger Pace

When Wanwan Deals damage to an enemy hero, their weaknesses and positions are exposed for a few seconds. Wanwan deals True Damage when hitting an enemy’s Weaknesses and an extra percentage of damage to enemies with weaknesses hit for a duration.

Wanwan can move a short distance when she throws a Sleeve Dart. The speed of this movement scales with her Attack Speed.

  • This ability is the reason why Wanwan is a potent late-game hero because this boosts both her damage and survivability.
  • As her movement speed is dependent on her Attack Speed, build on Attack Speed items early to expedite her scaling.

First skill – Swallow’s Path

Wanwan throws a Fire Swallow in a designated direction, dealing Physical Damage to enemies along the path and triggering Tiger Pace. For every 0.5s, Wanwan retrieves a Swallow Dagger from the Fire Swallow, dealing Physical Damage to enemies in its path and slowing them down to a certain percentage for a couple of seconds. The enemy hit by the Swallow Dagger twice will be stunned for a short duration.

  • This skill is both a zoning skill and poking skill. Use this to set up a good laning stage.
  • During team fights, activate this skill, and maintain your distance while hitting enemies with Basic Attacks.
  • The light crowd control is also effective in disrupting initiators.

Second skill – Needles in Flowers

Wanwan Removing removes all crowd control effects from herself immediately, triggers Tiger Pace, and unleashes deadly needles to nearby enemies, dealing Physical Damage.

  • This is a built-in Purify, allowing you to take another battle spell for more damage or utility.
  • Activating this prematurely can reduce your effectiveness, so make sure to activate this skill only when you are in a tight situation.
  • When caught in a sticky situation, quickly activate the skill and back away. Since you’ll be activating Tiger Pace as well, you will have superior mobility versus initiators.

Ultimate – Crossbow of Tang

Passive: Damage against creeps increases by a certain percentage each time Crossbow of Tang is upgraded.

Active: Wanwan activates her crossbow and shoots arrows at an enemy hero for a few seconds with each arrow dealing Physical Damage. While her crossbow is activated, if Wanwan kills an enemy hero, she will switch to attacking another target, activating her crossbow for a few extra seconds, capped at a certain time or for a duration, and increasing her Attack Speed by a certain percentage.

  • When Wanwan takes back her crossbow or she kills an enemy hero, Tiger Pace will be triggered.
Crossbow of Tang can only be cast when an enemy’s Weaknesses are all hit.
  • The shooting of the Crossbow of Tang will be regarded as a Basic Attack, and the amount of arrows she shoots scales with her Attack Speed.

Wanwan’s effectiveness is dependent on her Attack Speed. This is why Inspire is the perfect choice for her. With the battle spell, she gains a multiplier on her Attack Speed for a certain number of Basic Attacks or for a couple of seconds. Basic Attacks also ignore Physical Defense and restore HP on hit.

Upon activation, she gains more Movement Speed as it activates the effects of the Tiger Pace passive.

If you want to play more conservatively, Aegis is a good option. This battle spell is applicable if the enemy team has burst damage heroes. Once activated, the shield can help your survivability and buy you time to activate Needles and Flowers to make a quick escape or retaliate.

To fully take advantage of Wanwan’s skill kit, take the Marksman Emblem as it provides additional Attack Speed, Adaptive Attack, and Lifesteal.

For the first-tier talent, getting Swift is a no-brainer. The percentage Attack Speed boost is helpful in the laning stage as it not only allows you to unload Basic Attacks faster, but it also boosts your mobility due to the effects of the Tiger Pace passive.

Go for Tenacity as your second talent. This talent protects you from being burst down fast as it provides additional Physical and Magic Defense when your HP goes down to a certain threshold.

Round out the emblem set with Weakness Finder. With each Basic Attack, this core talent allows Wanwan to slow enemies’ movement speed and attack speed to a certain percentage. This way, the marksman will have more range control and space to deal damage as it will be hard for the enemies to pursue.

Farm as efficiently as you can and prioritize getting Attack Items that boost your Movement Speed and Attack Damage.

Start with Corrosion Scythe, which provides Physical Attack, Attack Speed, and Movement Speed. Its passive slows enemies with basic attacks, making it easier to trigger Wanwan’s Tiger Pace and land her ultimate, Crossbow of Tang, early on.

Purchase Malefic Gun next to enhance your mid-game power. It boosts Physical Attack, Attack Speed, and Lifesteal while its passives increase her attack range after using a skill and grant Movement Speed with basic attacks.

Finally, Rose Gold Meteor provides the perfect balance of damage and survivability. Its shield activates when Wanwan’s HP is low, giving you a second chance to escape or finish off opponents in burst-heavy fights.

Tips and easy combos to learn

In the laning stage, focus on staying alive and getting creep kills. As the hero makes more impact in the mid game to late game, your focus should be to complete your first three items.

Max out Swallow’s Path first to have better range control and damage. You can also use this to check bushes. You need to be extra careful in the early game since the enemy team will have likely picked a counter in order to take you down as much as they can.

The secret to winning ranked! What is Smart Targeting and how to turn it on

Once you complete Corrosion Scythe, Malefic Gun, and Demon Hunter Sword you can participate in fights.

Make sure to keep yourself away from enemy initiators and behind your support and utility heroes. Activate Swallow’s Path in the direction where the fights will take place and make sure to deal damage far back.

In situations when the enemy initiators get to you and put you under crowd control, activate Needles and Flowers first and back away while dealing damage. Activate Inspire or Aegis in this instance.

Keep throwing your Basic Attacks and complete the Weakness marks. Trigger the Crossbow of Tang thereafter to obliterate the enemy.
