When does MPL MY Season 14 start?
The battlefield awaits as Malaysia’s premier Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament returns to action.
After the Selangor Red Giants claimed the MLBB Midseason Cup 2024 (MSC 2024) crown at the Esports World Cup, all eyes are on MPL MY Season 14 to see if they can continue their dominance.
This season, ten teams vie for the lion’s share of the US$100,000 prize pool and a coveted slot in the M6 World Championships.
When does MPL MY Season 14 start?
The stakes are higher than ever this season, as the grand finalists secure slots in the upcoming M6 World Championships, where they will compete on their home floor for the lion’s share of the US$1 million prize pool.
This is also the first M World Series that sees Malaysia field two teams instead of just one.
The Selangor Red Giants, who brought home the country’s first international title in MSC 2024, retained their championship core. They look to remake history again as the first-ever back-to-back champions in MPL MY Season 14.
But standing in their way are tough contenders ready to change the status quo.
The Red Giant’s rivals, HomeBois, also had a stellar campaign in MSC 2024. Muhammad “Udil” Ardiansyah and the squad survived the grueling qualifiers and groups to make the playoffs before getting eliminated in the quarterfinals.
Muhammad “CikuGais” Fuad, Idreen “Momo” Jamal, and Muhammad Syafizan Najmi “Garyy” Kamarulzaman team up once more to lead Todak in reclaiming their championship.
Returning RED Esports are also poised to challenge the mighty Red Giants with a revamped lineup featuring former Blacklist International players Stephen “Sensui” Castillo and Lee Howard “Owl” Gonzales.
The regular season of MPL MY Season 14 starts September 7, 2024.
