Juno has landed in Overwatch 2 straight from Mars, bringing gravity-negating abilities and a sizable healing tank for her allies.
In BlizzCon 2023, Blizzard hinted at a Space Ranger as Overwatch 2’s next hero. This was further confirmed with space-based teasers in the game.
Overwatch 2 hero Juno
Earlier, players spotted blue comets on some maps and a crashed spaceship on the Dorado map, hinting at the imminent arrival of a Space Ranger.
Now, Juno has finally made her way to tackle the Omnic Crisis on her skate-rollers. Her bubbly appearance makes it difficult to fear her, but Juno is absolutely deadly on the field.
Overwatch 2 hero Juno’s abilities explained
Juno, the new support hero, brings a versatile burst weapon that packs a punch and heals allies. Her innovative healing mechanic introduces fall-off damage, making her a unique and strategic addition to any team.
Overwatch 2 Juno abilities:
If you’re looking to mix up your support palette, here’s how the abilities of Overwatch 2 hero Juno work.
Mediblaster: It is a versatile weapon that fires a burst of projectiles to heal allies and damage enemies. With 180 bullets in the chamber, Mediblaster is all Juno needs to stomp over enemies while healing teammates. A key feature is that Mediblaster has severe fall-off damage, which means its effectiveness decreases as the distance between Juno and her target increases.
Pulsar Torpedoes: Juno’s ability Pulsar Torpedoes in Overwatch 2 is a secondary fire mode that locks onto allies and enemies and fires homing projectiles at them. Allies will gain health, whereas enemies will deal 75 damage over 4 seconds. Pulsar Torpedoes have a cooldown of 10 seconds.
Glide Boost: When activated, Juno can glide horizontally with increased movement speed. Players can control the directional movement, but vertical movement remains unaffected. Glide Boost has a relatively lengthy duration of 8 seconds, so players can always deactivate it by repressing the SHIFT key.
Hyper Ring: It is a ring that increases the movement speed of allies passing through it. The ring stays up for 6 seconds, and the buff lasts for 4 seconds. Juno can aim the Hyper Ring at enemies up to 12 meters and gains an instant speed boost upon activating without needing to pass through it.
Martian Boots: Martian Boots is a cross between the movement tactics of Genji and Mercy, as it allows you to double jump and descend slowly by holding the jump key.
Orbital Ray: Juno summons a ray straight from space to deal damage to enemies within its area of effect and provide a fire rate boost and healing to allies within its area of effect. The beam moves in a straight line, piercing through multiple enemies and objects, and stays up for 10 seconds.
Overwatch 2 hero Juno will be added to the game in Season 12 on August 20.
