The PUBG Nations Cup went back to Seoul for its third edition — and the South Korean team brought the trophy home in front of their home crowd.
The team that finished first at PNC 2023 consisted of Giyeol “seoul” Cho, Heejoo “Inonix” Na, Jungyoung “Loki” Park, Taesung “Heaven” Kim, and coach Myounggwan “ssonic” Shin, earning the lion’s share of a US$300,000 prize pool.
Seoul was named the most valuable player, after racking up 34 kills by himself. South Korea claimed three overall round firsts and a total of 106 kills — 10 more than any other team, and 15 more than second-placed United Kingdom, last year’s defending champions.
Their 172 points total came as a result of their remarkable consistency, finishing top three in eight of the 18 played rounds.

PNC 2023 shows first look at new City of Glory map
The tournament showcased Vikendi, which made its debut in PUBG esports events, as well as the Blizzard Zone and Sandstorm weather effects that can heavily impact a match’s proceedings.
Krafton also unveiled a teaser trailer for PUBG’s 10th map, titled the City of Glory. From the brief glimpse of its oriental theme, the new map might be set somewhere in the East and at night. More details about the new map will be revealed ahead of its release.
PUBG Esports returns later this year in Thailand, with the PUBG Global Champions 2023 scheduled to take place from November 18 to December 3.
