UK-based esports organization Guild Esports has signed David “Deevo” Morrow to bolster their Rocket League squad. The signing came just in time for the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Winter Split, which took place last week.
Deevo is a former RLCS champion, claiming his title in 2017’s RLCS S3 World Championship with the now-defunct Northern Gaming (Canada). The 20-year-old veteran has continued playing at a high level since, most recently finishing within the top eight in the RLCS Season X Fall European Major with FC Barcelona eSports, which released its Rocket League roster in late October.
Coincidentally, Deevo moved from FC Barcelona to a Guild Esports club co-owned by former Real Madrid star, David Beckham.

With Guild Esports, Deevo joins Thomas “ThO.” Binkhorst and Joseph “noly” Kidd.
“I’m extremely excited to start my future with Guild and I hope to help bring them great success in the Rocket League Esports scene,” Deevo said, speaking with Forbes. “I’m accompanied by two world-class players and I’m sure we’ll achieve great things as a team together.”
It didn’t take long for the Rocket League veteran to make a splash with his new team, helping them earn a 3-1 win over Solary .
Unfortunately, Guild Esports failed to advance past the quarterfinals, dropping their next matchup against Renault Vitality in a tight 2-3 result.
Team Vitality would go all the way to the RLCS Winter Split grand finals, before falling 1-4 against eventual tournament champions, Team BDS.
