During the Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live event, Bandai Namco made a significant announcement regarding the Tekken 8 release date.
The most recent preview revealed that Tekken 8 is set to debut on January 26, 2024, on platforms such including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Within the fresh trailer, a new single-player mode called Arcade Quest was showcased. Designed to evoke the nostalgia of the arcade era, it allows players to engage in matches against friends and strangers within their local gaming establishments.
6 Legacy characters confirmed with Tekken 8 release date announcement
Aside from the much-awaited release date, the game’s new trailer also confirmed the inclusion of some legacy characters to the fighting game’s initial roster.
These fan favourites also happen to be tournament staples, including Shaheen, Steve Fox, Dragunov, Leo, Yoshimitsu, and Kuma. The movesets and gameplay of each character will likely be revealed upon each character’s official announcement.
Tekken 8 was announced in September 2022 through a live presentation in the PlayStation State of Play. This forthcoming game is slated for distribution on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, as well as PC via the Steam platform.
