American esports organization FaZe Clan recently announced its first official Valorant invitational. The invitational will be the 14th tournament of Valorant’s Ignition Series and will have teams competing for a prize pool of US$50,000.
FaZe Clan will host sixteen teams throughout the tournament, consisting of eleven invited teams. four qualifying teams, and FaZe Clan’s very own Valorant squad.
As for the seeding, FaZe Clan has disclosed that the twelve competitive teams will be sorted based on their previous tournament placements while the four open qualifier teams will be placed randomly into the groups.

The event will take place on August 6-9, with the first two days being the group stages and the latter two days being the playoffs.
The prize pool will be split accordingly:
- 1st place: US$25,000
- 2nd place: US$15,000
- 3rd place: US$7,500
- 4th place: US$2,500
