Valorant agents might soon find themselves battling on the streets of LA at the start of the next episode act.
Riot Games’ latest teaser trailer has provided further indications that a Los Angeles Valorant map is on the way, with the significant unveiling scheduled for the grand finals of Valorant Champions 2023 on August 26.
We’ve compiled a list of the Easter eggs in the trailer and additional clues suggesting that Valorant agents are heading to the City of Angels.
Clues that point toward a Los Angeles Valorant map
The teaser showed Deadlock walking to a surveillance van situated amidst palm trees, clearly placing the scene in Los Angeles.
Additionally, the setting is bathed in an orange glow, aligning with the color scheme of Valorant Champions 2023 and Gekko’s “Greater Than One” agent trailer, a video where he was going around Los Angeles.
The location they’re surveilling is an area that is based in real-life LA, according to Dot Esports’ Scott Roberson.
Notably, Riot Games also has Cypher’s “On the Low Tacos” surveillance truck making its way around LA to bring Valorant and VCT vibes across the city.
In the trailer, Cypher is depicted infiltrating the surveillance cameras at the Kingdom base. Upon discovering the utilization of portals for transporting sizable shipping containers, Deadlock instructs Cypher to get in touch with Brimstone.
These teasers are coming in at the right time, with Episode 7 Act 1 set to end on August 29.
