Sentinels made changes to its Valorant roster days before Masters Madrid, the first international LAN event of the 2024 VCT season.
On March 8, the North American esports organization announced on X they plan to release Bryan “pANcada” Luna from their Valorant team.
“We have given aANcada the opportunity to find a new team with no buyout,” the organization wrote. “He’s too talented of a player and teammate to keep as a sixth. He belongs on a VCT team, and we are working to help facilitate that.”
Sentinels make roster change after winning VCT Americas Kickoff
The squad is back on top of the Valorant world, winning the VCT Americas Kickoff with an impressive 3-2 victory against Brazilian squad LOUD in the grand final.
Despite the team’s recent success, the news of a sudden roster change came as a surprise, even to pANcada.
“As you saw, Sentinels put me on the market so I could join another team and receive new proposals,” pANcada wrote on X.
“My future is uncertain at the moment. I had decided to remain on the team’s bench to treat some health problems, but I was as surprised as you were with this announcement.”
In 2022, PANcada and Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi departed LOUD to join Sentinels, just a month after the Brazilian duo clinched the Valorant Champions 2022 title by defeating OpTic Gaming 3-1 in the grand final.
