The stakes couldn’t be higher — the final spot at Valorant Champions Istanbul will be up for grabs in the VCT EMEA Last Chance Qualifier.
Riot Games has pulled out all the stops to get fans excited for the final VCT EMEA event of the year, inviting popular esports host Jorien “Sheever” van der Heijden to join the on-air talent team for the event.
Sheever is one of the most beloved talents in Dota 2. This will be the first Valorant event she casts.
“Very excited to be part of this one,” she tweeted.

Sheever joins the on-air talent team of VCT EMEA Last Chance Qualifier
Over the years, Sheever has hosted, casted, and interviewed at some of the biggest Dota 2 events, including several Dota 2 Majors and The International world championship tournaments.
She has occasionally branched out to host other games, including Starcraft 2’s Nordic Championship in 2016, and CS:GO’s DreamHack event in 2016 and 2020.
Yinsu “Yinsu” Collins, a mainstay host at VCT events, especially in the EMEA region, will not be part of the broadcast team because of travel issues and will be hosting her own watch party instead.
“Due to Brexit/visa issues, I could only do 2 days of LCQ,” she tweeted. “Really excited to see Quickshot, Sheever, and Ender, we’re getting all the esports royalties in EMEA.”
