Kim “stax” Gu-taek has a new team.
After DRX parted ways with the star player on May 27, 2024, T1 Valorant roster swooped in to secure his talents on June 7, 2024.
Stax led DRX to a third-place finish at Valorant Champions 2022. He was also part of the Vision Strikers roster that achieved a historic 104-0 game win streak in 2021.
The 24-year-old pro is expected to debut for T1 when the VCT Pacific League Stage 2 competition resumes on June 16, 2024.
T1 Valorant roster for VCT Pacific Stage 2
- Ha “Sayaplayer” Jung-woo
- Lee “Carpe” Jae-hyeok
- Ham “iZu” Woo-joo
- Kevin “xccurate” Susanto
- Daniel “Rossy” Abedrabbo
- Kim “stax” Gu-taek
T1 has not announced which player stax will replace on its current roster. Known primarily for his role as an initiator throughout his career, stax joins T1, whose previous initiator player was Carpe.
However, this does not necessarily mean stax will replace Carpe, as players often change agent roles after a roster change.
T1’s new Valorant roster will face the powerhouse squad Gen.G Esports during VCT Pacific Stage 2 on June 16, 2024.
