Zeta made an impressive start on Fracture, a map they picked to start the series. They showcased their skillful executions during site retakes against Team Secret, successfully defusing the spike four times in the first half.

Koji “Laz” Ushida was a formidable force on Chamber, securing six first bloods. Shota “SugarZ3ro” Watanabe also came up clutch for his team, winning crucial rounds that helped Zeta take a 1-0 lead following their 14-12 overtime win.

After Secret took a convincing 13-9 win on Ascent, Zeta responded by elevating their play on the third map, Split.

The Japanese team was unstoppable on attack, securing a commanding 10-2 lead by halftime. Zeta’s advantage proved insurmountable for Team Secret, resulting in a 13-7 victory on Split.

Zeta secured their spot in Valorant Champions 2023 with a commanding 13-6 victory on Lotus, the final map of the series. Laz had another outstanding performance on Chamber, achieving an impressive KDA of 22/8/3.

After the match, Laz was awarded the title of grand final MVP, having the highest overall KDA with 74/53/14 and the best average ACS of 232 across all four maps.

Zeta Division will join Paper Rex, DRX, and T1 as the Pacific League’s representatives at Valorant Champions 2023. They will compete against the best teams from the Americas and EMEA Leagues and the top three squads from China.
