Wild Rift esports is alive and kicking in the Philippines with the SEA Icon Series PH continuing its Summer Season.
The nine-week event is organized by Mineski and Globe in partnership with Riot Games, and hosted by the Philippine Pro Gaming League (PPGL). The SEA Icon Series PH will be divided into two seasons, Summer and Fall, with a total prize pool of over US$200,000.
Format for the SEA Icon Series PH: Summer Season
Each season begins with open qualifiers, where teams battle it out in best-of-one matches.
The top four teams from the open qualifiers advance into the group stages. There are four group stages happening in four different regions in the Philippines: North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Qualified teams for the group stages then compete in a series of best-of-three matches, in a triple round-robin format for the North and South Luzon group stages, and a double round-robin format for the Visayas and Mindanao group stages.
The top two teams from each group will advance into the SEA Icon Series PH Summer Season Playoffs, which will follow a double elimination format.
Schedule of the SEA Icon Series PH: Summer Season
The SEA Icon Series PH: Summer Season takes places throughout April and May, with the four group stages played within two months.
The North Luzon, South Luzon, and Visayas group stages have been completed. The Mindanao group stage comprising of 12 matches will take place at the end of May 2021.
- North Luzon group stages: April 9 – 11 and April 16 – 18
- South Luzon group stages: April 23 – 25 and April 30, May 1 -2
- Visayas group stages: May 6 – 8
- Mindanao group stages: May 28 – 30
The Summer Season playoffs will take place on June 4 to 6.

Qualified teams for the SEA Icon Series PH: Summer Season Playoffs
The top two teams from each of the four group stages of the SEA Icon Series PH Summer Season advance to the playoffs, with a total of eight qualified teams.
The North Luzon, South Luzon, and Visayas teams have been determined.

The teams from Mindanao will be competing in the group stages from May 28 to 30.
