We’ll find out the answer at the inaugural Wild Rift SEA Championship which will see 21 teams from nine different regions competing on one stage, set to take place in September.

What is the Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021?
The Wild Rift SEA Championship is the epic conclusion to the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series.
A total of nine regions will compete in this Wild Rift tournament, including Southeast Asia’s Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and Oceania’s Australia and New Zealand.
Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 schedule and results
The Wild Rift SEA Championship will be played out in three stages, and will take place from mid-September to early October.

Format of the Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021
There will be two Pools of teams in this tournament.
All regions will receive one slot, and will be directly invited for the SEA Championship Group Stage in Pool 1. Teams in Pool 2 will be directly invited to the Play-Ins.
The detailed format of the tournament will be announced soon. We can expect it to take on a double elimination bracket, wrote Wild Rift Esports Project Manager, Ban “ChisinX” Chee.

Every team competing in the Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021
Pool 1 will have a total of nine teams directly invited to the Group Stage. Pool 2 will have 12 teams competing at the Play-Ins.
Regions are awarded extra slots if their team secure Top 4 at the Summer Super Cup (SSC). Vietnam received more slots than Thailand since their SSC representatives Cerberus Esports and SBTC Esports reached the semifinals.

Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 prize pool
Teams will be competing for a US$200,000 prize pool and a chance to qualify for the League of Legends: Wild Rift World Championship.
