Wuthering Waves 1.2 release date, countdown, banners and features

Wuthering Waves, the free-to-play action RPG from developer Kuro Games, will soon get its second major update, version 1.2, as beta testing is underway.

In the wake of that, we are here to talk about the Wuthering Waves 1.2 release date and countdown, character and weapon banners, and briefly go over the new features and changes you can expect.

Wuthering Waves 1.2 release date

The pdate will be released on August 15, 2024, at around 10 pm PT. 

The game follows a similar release pattern to Genshin Impact and others. However, due to changes in plans and players complaining about the lack of content in version 1.0, the version 1.1 update was released ahead of its official schedule.

As a result, many players were confused about whether version 1.1 would end on August 6, 2024, or on August 14, 2024, as per the old schedule.

Thankfully, seeing Changli’s in-game banner and its end date as August 14, we now know that the version 1.2 update will be released on August 15, 2024.

Thanks to the drip marketing strategy from developer Kuro Games, we know the next character banners coming to Wuthering Waves with the version 1.2 update are:

• Xiangli Yao
  • Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Weapon: Gauntlets

As you may know, with the arrival of any five-star unit, we also get their signature weapon. The same is true for Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao.

Thanks to version 1.2 beta, we know about their weapons, Zhufang Xuanshu and Qiong Zhi Bingxiao, but sadly, the English translation of the weapon names is not yet available.

Wuthering Waves 1.2 new features

According to the Wuthering Waves 1.2 CBT, we will get character and weapon adjustments, a 120 FPS feature for selective GPUs, a much-needed Stamina Storage feature, and a new auxiliary machine exploration tool, interface and performance optimization.
