Lycaon build: Best W-Engine
Lycaon is a Stun agent that excels at staggering and inflicting daze to opponents. Combine it with his flashy icy combos, he can deal massive damage during battle.
Von Lycaon provides straightforward gameplay, enabling players to effortlessly select which W-Engines to pair with him.
His signature W-Engine, “The Restrained,” is specifically tailored to his gameplay. His fast-paced attacks compliments the weapon’s unique passive.
While there are several alternative weapons that can enhance Lycaon’s attacks and complement his playstyle, we have narrowed down the best W-Engine options and alternatives for him.
W-ENGINE | STATS |
The Restrained | Base ATK: 684 Impact: 18% When an attack hits an enemy, DMG and Daze from Basic Attacks increase by 6%/7.5%/9%/10.5%/12% for eight seconds, stacking up to five times. This effect can trigger at most once during each skill. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
Precious Fossilized Core | Base ATK: 594 Impact: 15% When the target’s HP is no lower than 50%, the equipper inflicts 10/11.5/13/14.5/16% more Daze. When the target’s HP is no lower than 75%, this bonus is further enhanced by 10/11.5/13/14.5/16%. |
Six Shooter | Base ATK: 595 Impact: 15% The equipper gains a Charge stack every three seconds, stacking up to six times. When launching an EX Special Attack, consumes all Charge stacks, and each stack increases the Daze inflicted by 4/4.6/5.2/5.8/6.4%. |
Steam Oven | Base ATK: 594 Energy Regen: 50% For every 10 Energy accumulated, the equipper’s Impact is increased by 2/2.3/2.6/2.9/3.2%, stacking up to eight times. After Energy is consumed, this bonus remains for eight more seconds. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
The Restrained is the optimal W-Engine for Lycaon as it boasts a high base attack and impact substat. Its unique passive ability empowers him with increased Basic Attack and Daze damage following each hit on an enemy, providing a consistent damage boost throughout battles.
If your gacha for W-Engines is bad, you can have Precious Fossilized Core, which has a base attack of 594 and an impact of 15%. It increases the daze inflicted by 10% to 16% when the target’s HP is above 50%, with an additional boost when the target’s HP is above 75%.
Additionally, the Six Shooter grants Charge stacks every three seconds, which can be consumed to increase the daze inflicted by 4% to 6.4% per stack when launching an EX Special Attack.
Lastly, the Steam Oven increases the equipper’s Impact by 2% to 3.2% for every 10 Energy accumulated, stacking up to eight times and retaining the bonus for eight seconds after Energy is consumed.
Lycaon build: Best Drive Discs
Lycaon is a Stun agent who greatly benefits from having a high Impact substat.
His fast-paced gameplay allows him to deal a significant amount of damage, and effectively stagger his opponents.
When filling the Drive Disc slots for Lycaon, use drives with crit, ice damage, and impact percentage for slots four to six.
It’s also important to prioritize Drive Discs that offer offensive substats to further enhance Lycaon’s damage output.
LYCAON DRIVE DISCS | DRIVE DISC DESCRIPTION |
Shockstar Disco | 2-Piece Increases Impact by 6%. 4-Piece Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks, and Dodge Counters inflict 20% more Daze to the main target. |
Polar Metal | 2-Piece Increases Ice DMG by 10%. 4-Piece Increase the DMG of Basic Attack and Dash Attack by 20%. When any squad member inflicts Freeze or Shatter, this effect increases by an additional 20% for 12s. |
Freedom Blues | 2-Piece Increases Anomaly Proficiency by 30. 4-Piece When an EX Special Attack hits an enemy, reduce the target’s Anomaly Buildup RES to the equipper’s Attribute by 20% for 8s. This effect does not stack with others of the same attribute. |
Woodpecker Electro | 2-Piece Increases CRIT Rate by 8%. 4-Piece Landing a critical hit on an enemy with a Basic Attack, Dodge Counter, or EX Special Attack increases the equipper’s ATK by 9% for 6s. The buff duration for different skills are calculated separately. |
The 4-Piece Shockstar Disco is an excellent choice for Lycaon as it boosts his impact damage. The 20% increase in Daze from Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks, and Dodge Counters ensures that he can effectively crowd control enemies, setting up powerful combos.
Pairing the 4-Piece Shockstar Disco with the 2-Piece Polar Metal set provides a significant boost to Lycaon’s overall damage. The additional 10% Ice damage directly enhances his primary damage type, making his attacks more potent.
Combining the 4-Piece Shockstar Disco with the 2-Piece Freedom Blues set offers a different advantage. The Anomaly Proficiency substat enhances Lycaon’s ability to build up anomaly effects on enemies. This allows him to debuff enemies more effectively, reducing their resistance.
However, If you find yourself lacking damage, pairing the 4-Piece Shockstar Disco with the 2-Piece Woodpecker Electro set boosts Lycaon’s overall damage. The 8% increase in crit rate from the Woodpecker Electro set enables him to land more critical hits.
The increased daze effects from the Shockstar Disco set make enemies more vulnerable to Lycaon’s attacks. When these dazed enemies are hit with critical strikes, the overall damage is amplified, making his attacks even more devastating.
