Is Zenless Zone Zero open world?
That’s the question on everyone’s mind, as fans gear up for HoYoverse’s latest title.
Zenless Zone Zero is an action role-playing game that takes place in the futuristic world of New Eridu.
In the game, you play as either Wise or Belle, Proxies whose job is to help Agents navigate through chaotic dimensions called Hollows. People venture into these Hollows for various reasons, and proxies act as their essential guides.
You navigate these treacherous landscapes with agents, battling enemies and helping them achieve their goals.
Is Zenless Zone Zero open world? Here is a sneak peek of its gameplay and what to expect
Zenless Zone Zero is different from previous HoYoverse titles such as Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
The game has a dynamic, cinematic action-based combat system. During battles, players can switch between various characters, unleashing a blend of skills and an array of quick-time event combos, reminiscent of classic hack-and-slash games.
Players could accumulate points through chain attacks, assisting, counterattacks, and perfect dodges.
Additionally, players can also perform combo attacks, automatically triggering character switch mode for a brief two-second interval to execute these combos.
However, what’s similar in this game to previous HoYo titles is the presence of an ultimate skill, which players can use once the ultimate bar is full.
As for its open-world aspect, Zenless Zone Zero does not have the same gameplay aspect as Genshin Impact where you can roam around New Eridu without constraints.
However, players can explore a part of New Eridu where they can get upgrades or partake in side quests.
So, to answer the question of whether Zenless Zone Zero is open world, the answer is no. Still, with its unique art style and engaging gameplay, there are a lot of things to love about this game.
